Everyone Benefits From Our Health & Safety Program
We believe that an effective Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) program is integral to being a successful, responsible business. So we consider the well-being of our employees and the protection of the environment as essential to our values as a company.
Inside Our HS&E Program
HPI is committed to the health, safety, and well-being of our staff, customers, and everyone we interact with. One of the core elements of our HS&E Program is “Human Performance” training, whose purpose is to have employees talk about and recognize the possibilities of operational errors.
The overall objective is to prevent significant workplace events by focusing on human behaviors. The principles of Human Performance training include:
- Human Error Is Normal. We anticipate that errors will occur and will implement appropriate and necessary safeguards.
- Systems Influence Behavior. We create and manage systems designed to limit failures.
- Blame Fixes Nothing. We view workers as problem-solvers –not someone to be blamed.
- Learning and Improving Are Essential. It is how we grow, mature, and build capacity.
- Response Matters. We shape how the organization learns by our reaction to failure and success.
Safety & Regulatory Training Standards
All Field Service personnel receive comprehensive training on our safety policies and procedures, including workplace hazard exposures. We focus on these industry-specific and OSHA-driven topics:
- Stop Work Authority Policy
- Job Safety Analysis Program
- Behavioral Observation Program
- Management of Change Process
